WorldCat is a global catalog offered through subscribed libraries that the Seth Wilson Library has recently elected to participate in. This has expanded our Inter Library Loan exponentially, and we are excited to offer this service to our patrons. If you cannot find the resource you are looking for through the Ebsco Discovery Service, or Mobius, check out WorldCat here to see if it is available. If so, send in a request to our Technical Services Librarian at lazure.annie@occ.edu with the title, author, and any other relevant information such as the edition or ISBN and a request will be put in. It is important to note that not all libraries on WorldCat participate in the Inter Library Loan system so seeing a result on WorldCat does not necessarily mean that you will be able to receive it as a loan. Once you put in the request to our Technical Services Librarian she will then be able to check if the item is loanable. Once the request has been processed, if available, you will receive access through your OCC email address, and once the loan period has ended, the link/access will expire. As of now, we are only borrowing and lending digital materials so you cannot request a physical copy. If you only need a small portion of a physical book, such as an essay or a chapter, you may request this as some libraries will scan small portions of materials as needed to be sent electronically, just be sure to notate what is needed in your request.

Before you begin your search make sure to change your filters to only display results for electronic resources as we are not currently lending or borrowing physical materials (unless you are requesting a portion of a physical book as mentioned above). This ensures that the results will only show what we are able to request. Set your filters on the top left side of the search results as shown below.
Once you find the materials you would like to request you can take a screenshot to include in your email, or include essential information as listed above so that your request can be created. Resources will be sent to your OCC email address unless otherwise noted. If the item you requested in not loanable, we will let you know and do our best to help you locate the item through another available resource.
