The Theological Research Exchange Network is a database of thousands of theological theses and dissertations available through subscription. The collection we inherited from Lincoln a Christian University contains over 15,000 titles with the ability to purchase additional items through the library’s subscription. This is one of the best available resources for theological theses and dissertations and is a great asset that we are pleased to offer to our students and faculty.
Visit this link to login to TREN. Use the library’s login information to access our collection as well as to purchase any additional resources you may need, which is available on the Library Canvas Course, under the TREN module.
If you are using TREN on campus, you will be automatically logged in.
After logging in to the SWL account, you will be brought to our collection of over 15,000 resources.
You may search our collection through the options shown below. If there is not a particular resource you need available through our collection, you may search the TREN database.
From the TREN home page you can search the entire collection for the resource you need, after checking the SWL collection first. You have several options to search as featured below. You can search for a particular item, or browse the collection through the options in the top right corner of the page.
If you are unable to find what you need from the existing SWL collection you may use credits that the library has already set up for our account to purchase additional materials.
Select the resource you would like to purchase and “Add to your TREN Subscription”.
You will be prompted to login in again, and will then be able to access this resource. If you attempt to purchase a title that we already own, you will receive a message at the top of the page and the material will be highlighted for easy retrieval.
